The total area of 1,412 Kilometre square of which 258 Kilometre square is fully protected as national park and 1,153 Kilometre square as a wildlife sanctuary. In this park 38 species of reptiles and more than 2000 species of insects are included. The carnivores group are Asiatic lions, Indian leopard, jungle cat, striped hyena, golden jackal; Indian grey mongoose and ruddy mongoose are seen. The main herbivores are chital, nilgai, sambar, chinkara and wild boar are seen.
